$150,000 Powerball Ticket Sold in Lena
MADISON, Wis. -- For one Powerball player, Saturday's drawing turned a $3 play into a $150,000 winning ticket.
Kwik Trip on 5908 Duame Rd. in Lena sold a winning $150,000 Powerball ticket for the August 22, 2026, drawing. The winning ticket matched four of five numbers (13-31-54-57-65) and the Powerball (23). The ticket included the $1 Power Play feature, turning a $50,000 prize into a $150,000 win because of the 3X multiplier.
The Powerball win is the second big prize won by a Lena Kwik Trip customer this year. In May, the Lottery retailer sold a winning $31,000 Badger 5 jackpot ticket.
Powerball offers nine different prize levels. In Wisconsin, 7,943 tickets won prizes ranging from $4 to $150,000 from the Saturday drawing. According to Powerball.com, in the United States, only three winning tickets (including Wisconsin) won $150,000 by selecting the Power Play.
Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two-percent Retailer Performance Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.
Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is available at wilottery.com. Players can also see if their ticket is a winner by using the Lottery's mobile app, available at the App Store or Google Play.
Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9:00 p.m. to be included in a drawing. Powerball tickets are $2 per play, with the option to buy the Power Play feature for an additional $1.
The odds to win a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1:913,130. With the $1 Power Play add-on option, the odds of a 3X multiplier being drawn on Saturday night were 1:3.4. To win a $4 Powerball prize, the odds are either 1:92 or 1:39, depending on the individual play.
The odds of winning the Badger 5 jackpot are 1:169,911.
